Odesa Polytechnic National University, as part of a consortium of universities from Ukraine, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Ireland, has been competitively selected in the EU ERASMUS 2021-2027 grant program.
Our university, together with colleagues from NTUU Sikorskyi KPI, Ivan Franko National University and ChSTU, took part in and won the competitive selection with the project NEXT - Digital transformation to support the workforce of the next generation, and won grant support for the project.
Project goals:
- introduction of the latest digital and communication technologies, legal aspects in non-classroom and informal education, as a component of digitalization of higher education for students;
- training of teaching staff of higher educational institutions in order to support students with qualified trainers who can help them in non-classroom and non-formal education;
- development of innovative educational resources in accordance with the latest trends in digital technologies;
- improvement of teamwork and digital skills of students through the competition of student projects;
- creation of an advanced laboratory for the introduction of virtual space and Metauniverse technologies.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned goals, a number of various events, project meetings, trainings for trainers, a competition of student projects, and a student conference will be held as part of the NEXT project. The results of the project will be: the NEXT-Study educational environment, which will contribute to the creation of a common repository of various educational resources that any student can use to improve knowledge in a certain field; learning resources that will cover various digital skills and digital literacy topics; NEXT-Collaboration virtual platform for improving communication skills in a virtual workspace; NEXT-Network to ensure the stability of implementation of project results.
The project will significantly contribute to the process of bringing the digital and programming skills of future specialists to the modern requirements of digitization and the formation of the "digital" labor market in Ukraine.
The start of the project will take place at the beginning of 2024, responsible for the project from the National University "Odesa Polytechnic" is the head of the youth innovation center "POLIN", Lebid Mykhailo Valeriyovych.
