SMART-PL project: The team of the Odessa Polytechnic attended the training in Wroclaw

Within the framework of the SMART-PL project, representatives of Ukrainian universities attended trainings on the basis of European partner universities. On June 12-16, a training was held at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology (Poland), and on June 19-20 at the KU Leuven (Belgium).

The team of the Odesa Polytechnic attended the training in Wroclaw. The Odesa Polytechnic National University was represented by Hanna Lysiuk and Taia Petik (senior lecturer and PhD student of the Department of Software and Computer-Integrated Technologies of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics).

The training discussed the dynamic capabilities of students, ways and methods of developing creative and analytical thinking of students, empowering talented students. Colleagues shared their experience of using game mechanics in teaching, introduction of tutoring, microcredentials and mini-grants for teaching staff. Ukrainian partners learned not only about the theoretical foundations of innovative methods, but also listened to the feedback and impressions of students who were pioneers in their implementation. In particular, learned about the features of inclusive education at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, got acquainted with a specialized laboratory and equipment for people with special needs.

The next steps in the implementation of the SMART-PL project at   Odesa Polytechnic National University are the implementation and application at our university of the developments of EU universities in the aspect of personalized learning, formative assessment, lifelong learning practices, the experience of inclusion of students with fewer opportunities and special educational needs, as well as modern developments in the field of information and communication technologies in education.
