The Formula Student Open Day of Odesa Polytechnic took place

At the end of September, the long-awaited and exciting event, "Formula Student Open Day," took place at the "Na Chasi" coworking space, organized by the National University "Odesa Polytechnic" in collaboration with the NGO "Education. Science. Development." More than 60 participants attended, including school students, university students, partners, and guests from the world of motorsport.

The event was held in a hybrid format, both offline and online, allowing for the participation of a large number of individuals interested in motorsport and engineering innovations. The program featured presentations from prominent motorsport figures and the Formula Student team of Odesa Polytechnic.

Among the speakers were Angelina Dokus, head of the NGO "Education. Science. Development," and Oleksandr Lymarenko, the head of the Formula Student team of Odesa Polytechnic. They shared their experiences, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and technical development in racing car engineering.

A special highlight for participants was the presentation by Mykhailo Yakovlev, the team captain (2021-2023), who spoke about the international student competition Formula Student. His talk inspired many junior students to join the team and work on innovative projects.

Victoria Novak, the head of the team’s operations department, spoke about the benefits of participating in Formula Student. She emphasized that working in the team offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in engineering, programming, and collaboration with leading companies in the automotive industry such as Schaeffler, F1 - Shell, Siemens, and others.

The current team captain, Vladyslav Tavozhnianskyi, presented a report on their participation in the Formula Student Poland 2024 competition held in Słomczyn, Poland. Participants learned about the new knowledge and skills acquired during the international competition.

The event concluded with a presentation by Kostiantyn Chaban, head of the technical department, who provided detailed insights into the racing car model that the Formula Student team of Odesa Polytechnic showcased in Poland. He answered all questions regarding the car's technical specifications.
