On March 5, 2019, the third, last qualifying stage of the large-scale educational project Aviator-2019 was held, following which students-machine-builders of the Odesa National Polytechnic University reached the final of the competition.
The competition was attended by 8.5 thousand contestants from 50 aviation and technical institutions of higher education in Ukraine. The competition was held in three stages. Creative youth passed the test of knowledge of the aerospace industry, namely the level of knowledge of technical sciences; technical English; theory and history of aviation.
At the beginning of the competition, the Odesa National Polytechnic University presented eight students, of which the finalists were Vasilenko Georgy and Panga Natalya. Their supervisor is Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Dynamics, Strength of Machines and Resistance of Materials of the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Odesa National Polytechnic University Limarenko A.M.
Now the stage of preparing the concept of own projects for presentation in the final part of the competition is underway. Among the ideas of our participants are social educational or social projects aimed at making aviation accessible to people with disabilities. In April, projects will be defended before the jury of the competition, which will include leading experts from the aviation industry of Ukraine. As a result, one hundred authors of the most relevant and promising startups will be selected.
The winners of the competition will receive certificates for a trip to Paris, where they can visit Le Bourget, the largest international aerospace show, giants of the global aviation industry and domestic companies, as well as Disneyland amusement park.
Congratulations to our polytechnics and we wish to win the final!
