On April 17, 2019, at the Odesa National Polytechnic University, the Department of Information Activity and Media Communications of the Humanities Faculty, the II stage of the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad on specialty 029 "Information, library and archive work" on the specialization "Documentation and Information" was started in accordance with the order of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine No. 1313 dated November 28, 2018 "About the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad in 2018/2019 academic year".
On April 17, 2019, the solemn opening of the Olympiad in the Scientific and Technical Library of the Odesa National Polytechnic University took place, which began with the congratulations of the chairman of the Olympiad Jury, Head of the Department of Information Activity and Media Communications of the Odesa National Polytechnic University, K. art criticism, assistant professor, chairman of the Association of Documentation Ukraine V.G. Sprinsyan Other members of the jury joined the introductory word.
The Olympiad is held annually in order to improve the quality of training specialists in specialty 029 "Information, library and archive work", systemic improvement of the educational process and activation of educational and cognitive activities of students.
The Department of Information Activity and Media Communications of Odesa National Polytechnic University has been conducting the All-Ukrainian Student Olympiad for the "Information, library and archive work" for the fifth year in a row. Every year many students from different institutions of higher education of Ukraine join the Olympiad. This time 46 participants from 17 higher education institutions take part in the Olympiad.
Summing up of competitions and awarding of the winners of the Olympiad will take place on April 18, 2019.
