From May 14 to 17, 2019, 10 lectures were given by leading specialists of the company headed by President Nedashkovsky Y.A. for senior students of the specialty “Nuclear Power Engineering” and teachers of the Department of Atomic Power Plants.
Now there is a process of integration of education with the nuclear industry. The state enterprise "NAEK" Energoatom "is interested in attracting young people to work at existing enterprises. Graduates of institutions of higher education in the specialty "Nuclear power" in accordance with the tripartite agreements are employed in the company. After the acquisition of industrial experience, young professionals face wide opportunities in professional growth. In addition to the interesting and highly qualified work at nuclear power plants in Ukraine, given the large number of nuclear power plants under construction in the world, professional knowledge and proper knowledge of English provide ample employment opportunities in almost any country that develops nuclear energy.
As a result of the event, students, future nuclear scientists, were provided with presentation materials, including a collection of reports from the last conference on safety culture held in April 2019, and a monograph on the history of diversification of nuclear fuel in Ukraine through the supply of heat generating assemblies produced by Westinghouse. He met with nuclear students of all the courses of our university and spoke about the social programs that the company carries out for its employees, including the provision of housing for young professionals.
Listening lectures significantly expanded the horizons of students and provided an understanding of industry problems and ways to solve them.
