Solemn awarding of winners of the contest SpringUp 2019. On May 18, 2019, the awards ceremony for the winners of the SpringUp 2019 competition was held.

The award ceremony was timed to the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the independence of the State of Israel with the support of the Israeli Cultural Center in Odesa at the Embassy of the State of Israel.

The contest of innovative projects SpringUp has been held since 2016. The event is organized by the Odesa National Polytechnic University, the Odesa City Council and the Israeli Cultural Center in Odesa at the Embassy of the State of Israel in Ukraine.

In the competition in 2019, which was held on the basis of the Odesa National Polytechnic University, was attended by over 100 undergraduate and graduate students who submitted 22 projects. For the teams of participants, a series of developmental trainings were held, in which leading experts in the field of innovation from both Ukraine and Israel participated. Also, mentoring support was organized for the children.

To participate in the final competition, which took place on April 25, 2019, the jury selected 10 best projects containing innovative ideas in the field of energy, engineering, health care and the IT-industry, and 3 projects received prizes.

The first place was taken by the Robista project – a robot that can serve coffee and also maintain a conversation with a client.

In second place – the project Choiser – a web portal for the intellectual selection of cultural events in the city of Odesa, based on user preferences.

The third place was taken by the Fenestram project - energy-saving technology for metal-plastic windows, which allows to keep warm and provide high-quality ventilation of the room.

Also among the finalists are worth noting such projects as MoiDiet applications, RobTouch manipulator hands, apps for children – Chocolate mathematics, Green House smart modular greenhouses system, SafetyRoad project of smart pedestrian crossings, ISDS and Glas+s projects.
