May 30, 2019 in the Odesa National Polytechnic University held the finale of the second season of the educational and scholarship program CIG R & D Lab with the support of the Chernovetskyi Investment Group.
For the second year in a row, the educational and scholarship program CIG R & D Lab, jointly founded in 2017 by the Chernovetskyi Investment Group and the Odesa National Polytechnic University, is successfully operating to implement and commercialize student research projects aimed at long-term prospects and promoting the development of technological start-up ecosystems in Ukraine.
To participate in the second season of CIG R & D Lab, 20 teams of polytechnics set off. During the year, participants prepared the technology and business component of their start-ups. The winners of the qualifying stage were five participating projects. In the final, students presented ready-to-market products. The jury evaluated their novelty, quality of technical solutions, commercial viability and intellectual property.
The project “Jarvis” is a virtual assistant who has won and won the grand for financing the project. The system is developed as a universal product, so it is suitable for solving a large number of tasks from various fields. The assistant is already integrated into some applications (Telegram and Google Assistant). Interaction is supported both by voice control and text queries. For example, as far as we know, in the CIG portfolio there is a platform for ordering food to Eda.ua; having entered into a contract with this service and connecting it to an assistant, people would be able to order something with a voice command or with just one message in the messenger. Web-based interface will allow users to customize everything for personal use. Jarvis API will allow developers to create different modules for the assistant and get a% of their use. Jarvis.Home is a unit that is responsible for the implementation of physical modules, components, and command center running Jarvis OS. With their help, you can contactlessly control devices (even if they do not support a smart home), for example, an old coffee maker.

The project “Eye-Tracking Technology in Medical Research” is a study of human eye movements and the trajectories of their movement, which allows to reveal the structure of the relationship of the individual with the environment, the relationship of oculomotorics with the central nervous system, contributes to the study of the mechanisms of the brain and their violation.
Team members: students of the Institute of Computer Systems Maxim Aktorshev (specialty “Automation of computer-integrated technologies”), Kotov Dmitry, Gapizov Arslan, Karpenko Sergey, Ryanichev Ivan, Batenko Evgeny (specialty “System Engineering”) and Chori Vladislav (graduate student, specialty “Engineering software"). Supervisor - Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Computerized Management Systems at the Institute of Computer Systems Pavlenko Vitaliy Danilevich.
The “Thyrol” project is a hormonal background control system for thyroid diseases, which consists of a hormone measurement tool, developed on the basis of an oximetric sensor, as well as a client-server application for transmitting data obtained from a data medium to a doctor, to monitor the state of patient health.
Team members: students of the Institute of Computer Systems of the specialty "Computer Engineering" Sergey Bendas, Mikhail Samoylenko, Denis Bakurov. Supervisor - Kravtsov Victor Alekseevich.
The project "UAV Safety Enhancement System" - the project's goal is to adapt the Radar on Chip technology, provided by Texas Instruments to improve the flight safety of unmanned aerial vehicles used to perform everyday tasks.
Team members: Oleg Balykhin (Institute of Computer Systems, specialty Computerized Control Systems and Automation), Maidan Andrey (Ukrainian-German Institute, specialty Software Engineering). Supervisor - Art. Lecturer, Department of Computerized Management Systems, Computer Systems Institute, Blinov Igor Pavlovich.
The project “Mathematical Model of a Racing Car” - the main purpose of which is to build a complete mathematical model of the movement of a racing car. For this purpose, a Formula Student class car is used to obtain practical data. Thus, each element of the car will be described by mathematical functions that will be confirmed practically.
