A Collaborative Scientific Monograph Published within the Framework of the International SMART-PL Project

19 June 2025

We are pleased to announce the publication of a collaborative scientific monograph entitled “Opportunities of Open Educational Platforms for Students and Teachers”, developed within the framework of the international educational project SMART-PL.

Authors: Maksym Maksymov, Taia Petik, Valentin Davydov, Oleksandr Lysiuk, Oksana Maksymova, Maksym Grishyn.

The monograph is the result of an interdisciplinary study that implements a systematic approach to the analysis and evaluation of Open Educational Resources (OER), with a focus on inclusivity, quality, and user interaction. Unlike most studies that primarily emphasize the technical characteristics of platforms, this work concentrates on the impact of OER on all categories of users, especially individuals with special educational needs. The evaluation methodology developed by the authors not only enables objective assessment of existing educational platforms but also outlines the requirements for creating an ideal next-generation platform. The proposed approaches contribute to enhancing accessibility and educational quality in the context of ongoing digitalization and technological transformation.

The monograph was created as part of the SMART-PL project («Students’ Personalised Learning Model, Based on the Virtual Learning Environment of Intellectual Tutoring «Learning with No Limits») – a three-year international initiative supported by European partners. The project focuses on implementing a model of personalized learning through the use of intellectual tutoring, the SMART online platform, and hybrid educational technologies. Its core philosophy is “Learning with No Limits”, ensuring that every student – regardless of age, background, or circumstances – has equal access to quality education.
