The event was organized by the Department of Information and Media Communications of the Odesa National Polytechnic University, which annually gathers an international scientific society to solve topical problems of the industry: the development and implementation of optimal schemes and ways of development of social and professional business communications, information activities, documentation management.
On September 12, 2019 at 9:30 in the conference hall of the Palace of Culture of Students of the Odesa National Polytechnic University, the opening ceremony of the Conference and the plenary session took place. With the welcoming speech, the scientific event started with a Ph.D. Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, Head of the Department of Information and Media Communication of the Odesa National Polytechnic University, President of the Association of Documentary Experts of Ukraine Sprsiyan Vasyl.
The greetings were made by the Deputy Head of the Odesa Regional State Administration Vitaly Svichinsky, who noted that information and communication activities are an important component of any management process. On behalf of the University, the conference was congratulated by Dmitryshyn, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Work, emphasizing the importance of research of scientists of the Department of Information and Media Communication.
Also the best wishes to the scientific community were addressed by the Honored Journalist of Ukraine, member of the Board of NSZhU Yuriy Rabotin and presented the diploma of the national competition "Language of unity" to the department of information activity and media-communications. Other guests including Dr. Philos. of Sciences, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine, Professor T.I. Andrushchenko, Director of the Odesa Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M. Hrushevsky Yu.S. Amelchenko, Director General of the Odesa National Scientific Library I.O Biryukovа.
The conference was attended by leading representatives of Ukrainian and foreign science (USA, Finland, Belarus, Vietnam, Moldova, Bulgaria), practitioners, representatives of state authorities and specialists in various fields of information activity. At the plenary session, reports on the most pressing issues of information education were heard and discussed.
According to the results of the scientific work of the participants, a collection of materials was published, which teachers use as a source of information on issues of document science and social communications.
