The INTERADIS project is aimed at expanding and improving the Ukrainian higher education institutions capacity to adapt and integrate foreign students. The project is co-financed by the European Union's Erasmus + program and supported by the Erasmus Office in Ukraine.
The project program included this first offline visit of Ukrainian partners to Mykolas Romeris University, Lithuania.
The Odesa Polytechnic State University delegation included representatives of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Foreign Students Training and the International Students Dean Office.
The Lithuanian Erasmus+,National Agency representatives acknowledged the Ukrainian and European project partners about the possibilities opened by Erasmu + program to promote partnership and mobility between Lithuania and Ukraine, introducing them details on the national statistics of such exchanges at current stage.
A wide range of issues related to international students admission and marketing procedures have been discussed. Lithuanian colleagues shared practical experience of integration activities next to the foreign students’ arrival at the university.
Also the event participants had in Vilnius a meeting with the Ambassador of Ukraine to Lithuania Volodymyr Yatsenkivsky who expressed his will to render assistance in that cooperation, shared his ideas and advice on work in diplomatic sphere as well as on partnership with Lithuanian colleagues
The delegation assessed that experience gained from European colleagues as very useful for the successful implementation of INTERADIS project and the embodiement of internationalization concept at our university, improving the educational environment for foreign students.
