Objective
Ensuring the safety and efficiency of nuclear fuel utilization.
Main Tasks
- Addressing safety issues related to the storage of nuclear fuel in temporary repositories.
- Studying the behavior of nuclear fuel in severe nuclear accident scenarios with loss of coolant (LOCA).
- Researching properties and justifying the development of accident-tolerant fuel (ATF).
- Modeling nuclear fuel behavior to support experiment planning and result interpretation.
Expected Results
- Improved safety of nuclear fuel storage in temporary repositories.
- Deeper knowledge of nuclear fuel behavior patterns in severe nuclear accident scenarios with loss of coolant (LOCA).
- Justification for the development of advanced accident-tolerant nuclear fuel (ATF).
- Enhanced modeling of nuclear fuel processes to support experiment planning and interpretation.
