WHO WE PREPARE

The institute prepares specialists for engineering support of design, operation, and repair of information and telecommunication systems, protection of information in them, and development of software used in modern local and global networks. Institute graduates develop and operate software and hardware for complex radio electronic equipment, as well as create and implement comprehensive information security systems.

WHY IS THIS ACTUAL

Currently, information and computer technologies are an integral part of any human activity sphere. Information and communication systems based on computer systems are widely used worldwide, connected in local and global networks using wired and wireless technologies. The life of modern society is inconceivable without information exchange, which is carried out using modern radio electronic and telecommunication systems. Specialists in this field are in demand in the labor market.

The requirements for information systems security, detection, and prevention of computer system breaches are increasing. New means and methods of protecting confidential information and intellectual property are being developed. All this explains the growing demand for specialists in information systems security both in the domestic and foreign labor markets.

HOW WE TEACH

Sessions are conducted by experienced specialists, most of whom have scientific degrees and titles, including doctors and candidates of sciences, professors, and associate professors.

Our institute's lecturers have extensive practical experience in conducting research. All our lecturers are experienced educators capable of imparting their knowledge and experience to students.

The institute collaborates in the field of practical training of students with enterprises and organizations of the city and the country.

HOW WE TEACH

Training in accordance with higher education standards

Student training programs fully comply with higher education standards for respective training specialties.

Competency-based approach

Our lecturers do not require students to memorize a large amount of technical information mechanically but value the ability to quickly find and effectively use it. The ultimate goal of specialist training is to understand the basic principles of system and device operation, a systemic approach to any problem, and a creative approach to its solution.

Academic mobility of students

In addition to basic specialty training, students at our institute can additionally receive language training at Ukrainian-German, Ukrainian-Polish, and Ukrainian-Spanish institutes of our university, undergo internships at foreign partner universities.

Use of IT technologies

In recent years, we have focused on computer-aided design of devices and systems, their modeling using software packages, programming of hardware-software complexes for information processing, microcontroller-based control and signal processing systems, mobile radio communication devices in specialist training.

Interaction with enterprises and organizations of the city and the country

Several methods of interaction are used: sending students for internships, student participation in joint research and design developments, assistance in job placement for senior students to gain experience in the chosen specialty.
Active work is being carried out with the following enterprises and organizations: LLC "Luxoft-Ukraine", NVO "ANT Electronics", PJSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", PJSC "Element", SE "Odessa Aircraft Plant", SE "R&D Institute "Storm", LLC "Telekart-Prylad", LLC "South Electrotechnical Company", Odessa Port, LLC "TST, LTD", Engineering and Technology Institute "Biotechnology", LLC "S-Manufacturing".
